YOGA PRACTICE

 Yoga practice                     As a part of B Ed curriculum 2019 - 2021, we the student teachers have to practice yoga. On 20 March 2021, our college conducted a yoga class at 10 am on college main hall. The class was held by Mr Unnilal, Assistant professor of HKMCE Umayanalloor. Sir gives a clear idea about practicing yoga, mudras and Asanas. The yoga class was really informative as well as interactive. The class upto 3 pm onwards.                Firstly sir practiced pranayama , is a breathing exercise .                     NATURE 'S TEMPLES                                          - Joan Maloof Author Joan Maloof translates scientific study into highly readable language about the intricacies and relationships of old growth forests, and illustrates why these ecosystems are vital and unique (even distinct from young or second-growth forests). Illustrations by Andrew Joslin bring the words to life with black-and-white sketches that are reminiscent of a field guide, making me feel like a bit of a scientist myself who is exploring the hidden world of old growth forests.  The book helps really understand the significance of old-growth woodland/forest.  INNOVATIVE WORK : TYPES OF JOINTS Innovative teaching is necessary for the present and the future of education to help students to reach their full potential. Providing new materials by teachers helped the students to gain new insights or opened up new channels of intellectual stimulation or enhanced student’s essential and creative thinking power. Innovative teaching is a necessity for all teachers in order to meet the educational needs of a new generation. Here I have used an innovative work on “types of joints”. I used this because the  pupil were confused about different types of joint. I made a 'magic cube' made up of wooden cubes containing the details about joints and its types (pivot joint, hinge joints, gliding joint and ball and socket joint ). By the cube I explained the concept well and students got understand the topic clearly.  Community living camp- Report                                      Community living camps help the students in understanding the core of rural life, their problems and needs, and help them in preparing a plan for social work practice and community development. Camp provide students with a community of caring adults ,who nurture experiential education that results in self respect and appreciation for human values. The outcome brings self identity, self worth, self esteem, leader ship and self respect. As part of our b Ed Curriculum, a five day camp was organized in our college,HKM College of Education from 25 th February to March 1 st 2021. WEEKLY REFLECTION : FACE TO FACE TEACHING ( online)

 Weekly reflection : Face to face teaching Class 16-22 :  After the peer teaching, we start our face to face teaching by teaching the school students arranged by our teachers.Igot the 9th standard students of CFHS , Kottiyam. The classes were conducted through online with the help of Google meet. Our teaching practice started from 09-02-2021 onwards. As per schedule I started my first class to IX th class. At 2:00 pm onwards class started. The class duration is 30minutes and there were 20 students  in my class. They were very actively participated in my class, it gave me more confidence to take the class. Every day we sent the Google meet link through the WhatsApp group. I selected the 5th unit of class IX Excretion to teach and familiarize the importance of kidney and briefly describe it’s functioning.
