WEEKLY REFLECTION : FACE TO FACE TEACHING ( online)

 Weekly reflection : Face to face teaching Class 16-22 :  After the peer teaching, we start our face to face teaching by teaching the school students arranged by our teachers.Igot the 9th standard students of CFHS , Kottiyam. The classes were conducted through online with the help of Google meet. Our teaching practice started from 09-02-2021 onwards. As per schedule I started my first class to IX th class. At 2:00 pm onwards class started. The class duration is 30minutes and there were 20 students  in my class. They were very actively participated in my class, it gave me more confidence to take the class. Every day we sent the Google meet link through the WhatsApp group. I selected the 5th unit of class IX Excretion to teach and familiarize the importance of kidney and briefly describe it’s functioning.  Weekly reflection : Peer teaching ( Offline)             As part of B Ed Curriculum , the second phase of the teaching practice contains 30 lessons. But due to this COVID pandemic situation, the school internship program was divided into peer teaching( both online and offline) and face-to-face online teaching.  We all successfully completed our internship by following our beloved teachers instructions. The peer teaching and face to face teaching were in online mode with the support of science and majority of classes were taken through Google meet. Class 1-7(Offline) :  The offline peer teaching was started from 25-02-2021onwards.  COGNITIVE MAP INTRODUCTION The idea of cognitive map originates from the work of the psychologist Edward Tolman, who is famous for his studies of how rats learned to navigate mazes. In psychology, it has a strong spatial connotation- cognitive maps usually refer to the representation of a space (e.g., a maze) in the brain. Cognitive maps have since been used in a range of fields; Colin Eden, an operations researcher, used the term in a broader sense to refer to a mental model representation of any type of process or concept (whether spatial or not). Cognitive maps can be defined as mental images and concepts that are built to visualize and assimilate information. They are also referred to as mental maps, mind maps, schemata, and frames of reference.
